Waterlogging in many places in Raipur city

Raipur. The sudden rain has exposed the city’s system. A few hours of rain flooded many colonies and main roads of Raipur. Waterlogging has occurred in areas like Civil Line, Moti Bagh, Professor Colony, Tulsi Nagar, Sheetla Colony, Kailashpur and Saddu. Local people are facing huge difficulties in movement. Due to waterlogging at many places, the roads are not visible, due to which there is a danger of accident for the drivers.

Local residents say that this problem starts appearing every year before the rains, but the Municipal Corporation does not take any concrete action in time. The biggest concern is that this situation arises due to the drains not being cleaned on time.

Along with the rainwater, dirty water from the drains is also flowing on the roads, which can also increase health related risks. Complaints of water entering small vehicles have also come to the fore. People were seen pushing their vehicles out of the waterlogging. In many areas, children and the elderly also faced a lot of difficulty in walking.
