IPL : Teams trying hard to justify ticket prices to fans

Lucknow: Every match in IPL is going to be exciting. Teams are fighting hard to justify the ticket price of the fans. The first match of the double header on Saturday hooked the fans. In a low scoring match, Gujarat Titans won by 7 runs against Lucknow Supergiants. While the Titans who believed in the fight were on their way to victory, an overconfident Lucknow invited an unexpected defeat. The Supergiants, who wanted to stop the Titans on their home soil, were disappointed. Misfortune followed like a shadow in the form of batsmen’s failure for Lucknow who claimed to have restricted the Titans to a small score with bowling.

First, thanks to Krunal Pandya (2/16) and Marcus Stoinis (2/20), Gujarat were limited to 135/6 in the allotted overs. Captain Hardik Pandya (66 off 50 balls, 2 fours, 4 sixes) and Saha (47) excelled. Lucknow then chased down the target and scored 128/7 in 20 overs. Captain KL Rahul (68) impressed with a half-century. Mohit Sharma (2/17) and Noor Ahmed (2/18) took two wickets. Mohit, who played a key role in the team’s victory, got the ‘Man of the Match’ with his bowling.
