Iran Says Strait Of Hormuz Open To Global Shipping But Bars Us And Israeli Vessels

Strait of Hormuz: Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made key comments on the Strait of Hormuz. He said in an interview with a news agency that the strait has been closed only to American and Israeli ships. He said that ships from other countries can travel freely. However, he said that many countries have not come forward due to security concerns.

The Iranian minister said that many oil tankers and ships are currently passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Araghchi made these comments in the wake of Trump’s announcement that China, France, Japan and other countries are facing difficulties due to artificial obstacles in Hormuz and that they will soon send their warships to the area. Araghchi also responded to US claims that the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was injured in recent attacks, saying that he had no problem.

The Iranian minister said that Mojtaba was performing his duties according to the constitution. He said that his country is in a strong position and does not depend on any one person. He said that even if key people are killed, they can withstand it. He said that the situation is under control. During the talks held in Geneva last month, he said that there is no truth to the allegations that he shouted loudly at US representatives Steve Witkoff and Kushner and threatened that Iran has enough uranium for 11 nuclear bombs. He said that he hopes that the facts regarding the talks will come out soon.
