Israel issues advisory for Israelis living in India
New Delhi: Following the bomb blast near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Israeli National Security Council issued an advisory for Israelis living in India, especially New Delhi, asking them to avoid crowded places and western cities. It was advised to avoid visiting places used by countries. Or Israeli visitors.
Delhi Police received a call on Tuesday informing that an explosion had occurred near the Israel Embassy in Chanakyapuri diplomatic area on Tuesday evening.
After the blast, a letter addressed to the Israeli Ambassador was also found near the Israeli Embassy in the national capital. Delhi Police has sent relevant evidence for forensic evidence.
Israel’s Deputy Ambassador to India Ohad Nakash Kaynar on Tuesday said Israel Embassy staff and diplomats are safe and their security teams are investigating the matter further.
“On December 26, a bomb exploded near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi. It is possible that this is an attack,” the Israeli National Security Council highlighted.
Highlighting the recommendations for Israelis living in India, the Council advised people to avoid visiting “crowded places (malls, markets) and places frequented by Western/Jewish and Israeli elements. Try.”
It also called for more public spaces, including restaurants, hotels and bars, to avoid externalizing Israeli symbols.
“Avoid attending events that have many participants who are not safe,” the advisory said.
Furthermore, it also asked people to avoid posting travel details on social media networks and to avoid posting photos and travel details before and in real time.
“This evening, at a few minutes past five, there was an explosion near the embassy,” the Israeli deputy ambassador said after the attack. All our staff are safe, and all our diplomats are safe. Our security teams are working in full cooperation with local Delhi security and they will investigate the matter further.
