ISRO will make space robot from students’ ideas
Space Robots; The Indian Space Agency also involves science students in many of its projects. Students connect with ISRO’s mission in different ways. In this series, ISRO is organizing a space competition. As part of this project, youth were invited to submit ideas and projects for all-terrain robots. Recall that after the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission, ISRO is preparing for robotic missions to the Moon and other planets.
According to PTI report, ISRO’s U R Rao Satellite Center (URSC) will organize a space robotics competition. Under this, youth have been asked to send ideas and designs of robotic rovers for future missions. ISRO believes that such competitions will develop creative thinking among the youth for inter-planetary missions. According to the report, in a statement, ISRO said that to provide opportunities to students in the field of space robotics, ‘ISRO Robotics Challenge-URSC 2024 (IROC-U 2024)’ will be organized. Its tagline will be ‘Let’s build a space robot’. ISRO has said that the final competition will be held in August 2024 at the Bangalore campus of URSC.
