Jail for father who raped daughter
Bilaspur. The court of Special Judge Kanwar Chirag Bhanu Singh gave an important verdict on Tuesday. Under this, Salim Hussain son of Maqsood was found guilty under Section 9 of POCSO and sentenced to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment, while orders have been issued to pay a fine of Rs 50 thousand. Apart from this, the court has also ordered to pay Rs 3 lakh as compensation to the victim. The fine amount will also have to be paid to the victim. Giving information about the case, District Justice Chandrashekhar Bhatia said that on August 15, 2020, the 13-year-old minor victim had registered a case in a police station in Bilaspur district that her father Salim Hussain, who was a vendor of tea etc. at some place in Bilaspur district, was accused. At ten in the morning he had a fight with his mother and threw her out of the house and his brother also went to the street vendor.
When the victim was alone in the quarter at 11 in the morning, he came into the house and committed wrongdoing by forcing himself on her. Sub-Inspector Jyoti registered the case and investigated. During the investigation, medical examination of the victim and the accused was conducted. The victim’s statement was recorded under section 164 and taken to the magistrate’s court and other evidence was also collected. The heinous act by the convict was confirmed during DNA matching. The case was presented in the court on 12 January 2021. During this period the prosecution presented 26 witnesses. The defense did not present any witness. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the Honorable Special Judge gave this important decision in the court, under which the accused was sentenced to the above punishment. District Justice Chandrashekhar Bhatia said that on August 15, 2020, the 13-year-old minor victim had lodged a case in a police station in Bilaspur district that her father, accused Salim Hussain, who was a vendor of tea etc. at some place in Bilaspur district, had killed her at 10 in the morning. Had a fight with his mother and threw him out of the house.
