Jaipur: Development related due to irregularities in construction of building of Chikhli Panchayat Samiti
Jaipur. Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar informed the House on Tuesday that due to irregularities in the construction of the building of Chikhali Panchayat Samiti of Dungarpur district, the concerned development officer and junior engineer will be suspended.
Shri Dilawar was replying to the supplementary questions asked by the member in this regard during the Question Hour. He said that irregularities were committed in the building construction work during the previous government due to which the construction of this building was delayed. He said that during the previous government, 26 development officers were transferred in this Panchayat Samiti, hence action will be taken against the officer who made these transfers as per rules. He said that the information about the firm related to this construction which has been blacklisted will also be shared with other departments related to construction so that work cannot be given to this firm in those departments also.
Earlier, in written reply to the original question of MLA Shri Rajkumar Rot, he said that the financial approval for the construction of the building was issued on 14 February 2017 and the construction work of the building was to be completed within 15 months of the issue of approval. The construction of the said building is being done on the ground floor and first floor and the roofing and plaster work of the ground floor and first floor has almost been completed. On which Rs 164.34 lakh has been paid so far.
The Panchayati Raj Minister said that due to irregularities in the construction work, action has been taken under CCA Rule 17 against the concerned Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer working during the said period and disciplinary action under CCA Rule 16 is under process against the Development Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer. Also, the concerned firm M/s Nishi Construction Sagwada (Dungarpur) was blacklisted by the Development Officer. He told that the government will not approve additional amount for the completion of this building, but the work of the building will be completed by 31st August 2024 with the remaining amount from the original approval and the security amount deposited by the contractor and the amount of risk and cost.
