Jalandhar: A 7 km long road will be built along the banks of the holy Bein at a cost of Rs 3 crore.

Jalandhar: Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal visited Galowal village in Dasuya on Friday. He reviewed development projects along the holy Bein and listened to the residents’ concerns. Dasuya MLA Advocate Karamveer Singh Ghuman and Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain were also present. A meeting was held, attended by officials from various departments, administrative staff, and a large number of villagers. The development of basic infrastructure along the holy Bein, road construction, drinking water supply, flood and soil erosion damage, and future development plans were discussed in detail.
Addressing the gathering, Seechewal stated that a road along the holy Bein had been a long-standing demand. Fulfilling this long-standing demand, the government has approved the construction of an approximately 7-kilometer road from Saidowal village to Bhusa Pul along the holy Bein. The project will cost approximately ₹3 crore (approximately ₹3 crore) and is expected to benefit dozens of villages. He further stated that a long-pending construction of a vital gate connecting the sacred Bein has also been approved. The tender process for the gate, which will cost approximately ₹3.5 lakh, has been completed, and work will begin soon. Regarding the issue of drinking water, Sant Seechewal stated that villages facing severe water shortages have been provided with water tankers. Those villages that still haven’t received them will soon receive them so that no residents face any inconvenience.
