Jalandhar: Ambulances with experts dispatched to flood-affected areas

Jalandhar: Under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajiv Parashar and under the supervision of Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Annu Sharma, a modern ambulance equipped with medical facilities was flagged off to provide health services in the flood affected areas. This initiative is being done in collaboration with Smile Foundation. A team of specialist doctors is deployed in this ambulance flagged off by Dr. Annu Sharma and essential medicines are also available. This ambulance will go from village to village to provide medical services to the flood victims.

Smile Foundation coordinator Priyanshu said that the aim of this initiative is to conduct health check-up of patients in flood affected areas and provide free medicines to the needy. District Health Officer Dr. Moninder Kaur, District Mass Media Officer Jaswinder Kaur, Deputy Mass Media Officer Sharandeep Singh and Sukhdiyal Singh, Superintendent Ram Avtar, Dr. Kanchan, ANM Preeksha and Mamta, driver Kulwinder Singh and other officers were present on the occasion.
