Jalandhar: Dead body recovered from Mukerian Power House gate

Jalandhar: Hajipur police recovered the body of a man from the gate of Power House No. 2 of Mukerian Hydel Project. The body found at the gate of the power house has been identified as Gurnam Singh, a resident of Ghagwal village. Ratan Singh, father of the deceased Gurnam Singh, said that his son had been missing from home since December 14. He said that Gurnam was mentally disturbed. Ratan Singh said that a report was lodged at the Hajipur police station immediately after Gurnam went missing. Upon receiving information about the body being found at the gate of the power house, the family members reached the spot. The condition of the body was very bad as it had been in the canal for 10 days. The police handed over the body to the family.
