Jalandhar: One person arrested with 3.12 grams of heroin

Jalandhar: Rahon police have registered a case under the NDPS Act after heroin was recovered from a youth during routine patrolling. Officials said that while patrolling on the Rahon-Machhiwara road, a police party saw a youth coming from Ratnana village. Seeing the police vehicle, the youth reportedly panicked and took out a transparent plastic packet from his left pant pocket and threw it on the roadside, then turned back and tried to run away. The police party immediately arrested the youth. The accused was identified as Jograj Singh of Kot Ranjha village under Rahon police station in SBS Nagar district. Police said that 3.12 gm of heroin was found in the packet.
