Jalandhar: Three arrested for snatching bike from Zomato delivery boy
Jalandhar: The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested three accused in the snatching of a motorcycle from a Zomato delivery boy. Police also recovered an Activa scooter from them. Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur stated that FIR No. 331 was registered a week ago under sections 304(2), 3(5) of the IPC and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The FIR was filed based on the statement of complainant Ramu of Buta village, who works for Zomato. The complainant stated that on the night of the incident, while he was on his way to deliver food on his motorcycle, three unknown men forcibly snatched his Hero Splendor motorcycle, bearing registration number PB08-FL-2994, near the Neurolik Godown Paith. The arrested accused have been identified as Kulwant Kumar alias Karan of Tajpur village, Karamjeet of Bhagwanpur village, and Aryan. One accused, Ivan, a resident of Tajpur Colony, is still at large. Raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused, who will be apprehended soon. Accused Aryan Singh is already involved in FIR No. 114 registered in 2023 under sections 323, 379-B, 411 IPC at Police Station Bhargo Camp, Jalandhar.
