Jalandhar: Two people died in road accidents.

Jalandhar: Two young men lost their lives and one was injured in separate road accidents in the district. Varinder Singh of Ghariyal, Jalandhar, told the police that his brother, Tajinder Singh, was returning to his village on his motorcycle when an unknown vehicle hit him. Tajinder Singh was initially admitted to a hospital in Sham Chaurasi and later referred to DMC, Ludhiana, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police have registered a case in this regard. In another incident, Ashwani Kumar of Bhaipur Saidan in Gurdaspur district told the police that his brother, Ajay Kumar, was returning from a sugar mill with his acquaintance, Rajan, on a tractor. Near Chak Ala Bakhsh, a truck hit their tractor from behind, causing both of them to fall onto the road. Ajay Kumar died on the spot, while Rajan sustained injuries. The police have registered a case against the truck driver, Darshan Singh, a resident of Munda Pind in Tarn Taran district.
