Jalandhar: Two women forced children to beg, case registered
Hoshiarpur: Police have registered a case against two women for making children beg. Hoshiarpur Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Harjeet Kaur had reported this to the DC office. ASI Narinder Kumar said that the accused Sarita and Rekha allegedly made their children beg. He said that this is not the first crime of the women. They have committed such crimes before as well.
Two arrested with drugs and alcohol
Hoshiarpur: Police have arrested two smugglers including a woman and recovered drugs and alcohol from them. Police have arrested Harjinder Kaur, a resident of Mazara Dingarian and recovered 19,500 ml of alcohol from her. Police have arrested Sunil Kumar, a resident of Badiyal and recovered nine grams of narcotic powder from him.
14 cows, two bulls rescued
Hoshiarpur: Police have recovered 16 cattle including 14 cows and 2 bulls which were being taken to Jammu in three vehicles. Three accused transporting them have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
