Jalandhar: Village resident arrested for selling China door

Jalandhar: Nakodar City Police have arrested a resident of Ladhey Wali village for selling banned Chinese kite string or China Door. Investigating Officer (IO) Davinder Singh said the accused has been identified as Rajat, son of Baljeet Kumar, a resident of Ladhey Wali village near Seva Kendra in Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, and currently living in China Shah, Mohalla Rehman Pura, Nakodar.
The IO said five rolls of Chinese string were recovered from him. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the IPC. The use of Chinese kite string is considered a threat to the lives of people and animals, and the police are warning against its use.
