Jalandhar: Young man dies after being hit by a train

Jalandhar: A man died after being hit by a train near Sheikhupur railway crossing in Kapurthala. The deceased has been identified as Gursewak Singh, a resident of Bhagatpur village. Railway Police ASI Shakeel Mohammad said that Singh was mentally disturbed for some time. It is being said that he left home at night without informing his family.
When his family members came to know that he was missing, they started searching for him. On Saturday morning, Singh’s body was found on the railway track at kilometer 23/4-5. Railway police reached the spot and took the body into custody for further investigation. Officials have not ruled out the possibility of suicide, but the official cause of death will be confirmed after post-mortem and further investigation.
