Jamaican PM Andrew Holness to begin his first-ever visit to India from Sept 30
New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs of India today informed that Jamaica Prime Minister Andrew Holness is slated to make his official visit to India between September 30 and October 3.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had met Holness several times on the sidelines of multilateral meetings, had invited the Prime Minister Jamaica.
This is not just Andrew’s first visit to India, but also the first ever bilateral visit of any Jamaican Prime Minister.
As per the Statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, the Jamaican PM’s visit is expected to bolster bilateral relations, enhance economic cooperation, and solidify the longstanding bonds between Jamaica and India.
During the visit, Holness will meet PM Modi, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar. He will also meet other dignitaries and interact with trade and industry leaders.
