Jammu and Kashmir: Infiltration attempt failed in Keran sector, terrorists killed

Jammu: A terrorist was killed after an infiltration attempt was foiled in a joint operation by police and army in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Officials gave this information on Monday.

“In a joint operation launched yesterday, the Army and Kupwara Police foiled an infiltration attempt in Jumagund area of Keran sector, in which one terrorist has been killed,” police said.

Police said that the search operation is going on in the area. This is the second infiltration attempt in Kupwara in less than a week that has been foiled. Earlier on October 26, an infiltration attempt was foiled in a joint operation launched by the police and army along the Line of Control in Machil sector of Kupwara district.
