Jammu and Kashmir Power Plant signs agreement to supply electricity to Rajasthan for 40 years
New Delhi: Ratley Hydro Electric Power Corporation Limited (RHPCL), a joint venture company of NHPC Limited and Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation, has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the supply of power to Rajasthan Urja Vikas & IT Services Limited. . The Union Energy Ministry gave this information on Thursday.
As per the power allocation to be notified by the Union Power Ministry, the 850 MW Ratley Hydroelectric Project in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir will provide power to Rajasthan for a period of 40 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD).
The power purchase agreement was signed in Jaipur on Wednesday in the presence of senior officials of RHPCL and Rajasthan Energy Development and IT Services Limited.
