Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Foundation Day celebrated at Raj Bhavan, cultural presentations by Ladakh artists
Jaipur: On the foundation day of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, beautiful cultural presentations were given by local artists at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Artists from Ladakh performed Ladakhi folk music and the famous Jabru dance along with melodious rendition of the musical instrument Kopong. Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra appreciated the cultural program. While interacting with the delegation from Ladakh and the local people of Jammu and Kashmir, he welcomed them at the Raj Bhavan. He said that both these regions of the earth with heavenly beauty are gifts given to all of us by nature. He described the culture and traditions of these regions as the precious heritage of the country, associated with the land of India, which is united in diversity.
The Governor said that India, the land of unity in diversity, is an example of brotherhood and harmony. Giving information about Indian culture and the values related to the Constitution, he said that along with rights, we also need to be conscious of duties.
Discussing the beauty spread by nature in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, he said that organizing the foundation days of the states at the Raj Bhavan connects us with our interconnected nature, soil and folk culture. On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Governor Mr. Subir Kumar and Chief Special Officer Mr. Govindram Jaiswal were also present
