JCCJ leaders joined Congress
Lormi: Election fervor is gaining momentum in the Lormi assembly of Mungeli district. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited Godkhamhi today, urging the public to cast their votes in favor of Congress candidate Thaneshwar Sahu. During the event, Manish Tripathi, who had expressed discontent after not receiving a ticket from the JCCJ party for the Lormi assembly, defected to the Congress along with his numerous supporters.
This development is affecting the political landscape in the Lormi Assembly. Chief Minister Baghel took this opportunity to target former BJP Chief Minister Raman Singh, accusing the BJP of perpetrating a ration scam worth Rs 3600 crore while promising to provide 1 kg of ration in Chhattisgarh. He contrasted this with the Congress party’s commitment to delivering on its promises and accused the BJP of engaging in political falsehoods. Baghel asserted that the BJP does not genuinely support the waiver of farmers’ loans, and they become agitated when Congress carries out such measures.
He appealed to the residents of Lormi Assembly to stay vigilant and cautioned them against deceptive political entities that do not have the best interests of Lormi’s development at heart. Baghel further expressed that the people of Lormi Assembly should not send him back empty-handed, emphasizing their expectations for a more prosperous future.
