Jewelery shop employee arrested, had stolen gold necklace
Raipur. The shop employee who stole a gold necklace worth lakhs from a jewelery shop has been arrested. According to the information, Siddharth Begani lodged a report in Pandari police station that he lives in Sector 05 Tagore Nagar Kotwali Raipur and he operates a jewelery shop named Swarupchand Jewelers located in Mova Raipur. Due to Dussehra festival on 24.10.2023, the applicant closed the shop at around 02:00 pm and went home. On 25.10.2023, at around 11.00 am, Devendra Nirmalkar, an employee working in the applicant’s shop, went to open the shop and saw that the shutter of the shop was not locked and the central lock was open. The glass of the counter display was broken in which the 03 piece gold necklace was missing. When the applicant went to the shop and saw, the 03 piece gold necklace on display was not there. An unknown thief broke the lock of the shutter of the shop of the applicant and entered inside and stole the said Mashrooka, that on the report of the applicant, crime number 338/23 section 457, 380 of Indian Penal Code was registered against the unknown accused in Police Station Pandari. The crime of was registered.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Pandari police station inspected the incident site and made detailed inquiries of the people including the applicant in relation to the incident. Team members installed CCTV cameras in and around the incident site. Along with observing the camera footage, informers were also deployed in the case. Efforts were being made by the team members to identify the unknown accused by separately interrogating the employees working in the applicant’s shop and also collecting information about the employees who had previously left the shop and verifying it. . Meanwhile, when Suraj Kumar Manikpuri, an employee working in the applicant’s shop, was interrogated, he repeatedly changed his statement and was continuously trying to mislead the team members by creating different types of stories. On being strictly interrogated by the team members, he could not stand his lie for long and finally accepted to carry out the said incident of theft. On which accused Suraj Kumar Manikpuri was arrested and action was taken against the accused by seizing 03 pieces of stolen gold necklace worth Rs 6,00,000/- from his possession. Section 381 IPC against the accused in the case. Has also been added.
