JKPF constitues executive body
Jammu Kashmir Peoples Forum (JKPF), a social and non-political organization had organized a meeting at Kargil Sabhagar, Ved Mandir here today which was presided over by its Chairman Trustee/ President Ramesh C Sabharwal and other trustees namely Raghu Mehta, Advocate, J&K. High Court, Member Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Vice-President, JKPF; Prof. Rajeev Rattan Sharma, general secretary, JKPF; Ashok Gupta, Treasurer, JKPF; Vikas Sharma, Advocate and Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Trustees also participated.
In order to broaden its base and its working, some intellectuals of the society, representatives from Valmiki Samaj, Gorkha Samaj and PoJK organizations were inducted as Executive Members of Jammu Kashmir Peoples Forum who included Nirmal Sharma (ex IAS); Prof. Jasbir Singh and Shubham, Ph.D Scholar (PoJK); Vandana Mehta, Advocate; Varun Raina, Advocate; Dorru Bhatti and Meena Gill (Valmiki Samaj); Sham Shettri (Advocate and Legal Advisor Gorkha Samaj).
The Executive Members of JKPF present at the meeting were apprised about the aims and objective of JKPF. The new inductees put forth their view points and assured to work in future for the welfare of the society to achieve the aims and objectives of JKPF. It was unanimously decided to hold a seminar in next month regarding abrogation and upholding of Article 370 and Article 35-A by the Supreme Court viz-a-viz Praja-Parishad agitation for Abrogation of Article 370.
