Bijapur. Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar has merged into the five elements. Bastar’s young journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was brutally murdered by a contractor for exposing corruption. The body of missing Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was found three days later in a septic tank built in a contractor’s compound. It is believed that Mukesh was murdered by the contractor because he exposed the road scam.
A journalist was murdered in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The body of reporter Mukesh Chandrakar was found in a septic tank built in a relative’s badminton court campus. After hiding the body, the tank was filled with 4 inches of concrete and packed. Mukesh Chandrakar was cremated on Saturday. Investigation revealed that Mukesh Chandrakar was first strangled. Later he was hit with an axe on the head. This attack left a 2.5 inch hole on Mukesh’s head. Police have arrested 3 accused. A bulldozer has also been used at the hideout of relative Suresh Chandrakar. There is anger among journalists after this murder in Bijapur. They blocked Bijapur National Highway-63 for 4 hours. A sit-in protest was also held in Raipur. Journalists have demanded that the accused be hanged.
In fact, Mukesh Chandrakar went missing from home on January 1, 2025 at 7 pm. The next day, on January 2, his brother Yukesh Chandrakar filed a missing person report. After the complaint, the police were continuously tracing Mukesh’s phone. Due to the phone being switched off, the last location was showing around the house. CCTV footage was also scanned, in which Mukesh was last seen in a T-shirt and shorts. Journalists also inquired at different places. The location was traced through Gmail location, in which Mukesh’s last location was found to be in Chattanpara of Bijapur district headquarters.
