K.A. Sengottaiyan’s statement on CM Vijay’s leadership, initiative to make Tamil Nadu drug-free

Tamil Nadu: Political rhetoric has intensified in Tamil Nadu regarding the creation of a drug-free society. K.A. Sengottaiyan, Chief Coordinator of the T.V.A. Executive Committee and Minister, has claimed that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Joseph Vijay, Tamil Nadu will soon become a drug-free state.

Speaking to reporters at the Chennai airport on Thursday, K.A. Sengottaiyan commented on the ongoing social and political situation in the state. He stated that all sections of society—from children to adults—desire change, and this is why his party, Tevaga, is emerging as a strong political force.

He stated that party leader S. Joseph Vijay is working with a clear vision and prioritizing reforms in the state. According to Sengottaiyan, this leadership has the potential to give Tamil Nadu a new direction, making the state more developed and organized.

Speaking on the issue of drug addiction, he stated that the government is currently serious about this problem and is making continuous efforts to eradicate it. He expressed confidence that the goal of making Tamil Nadu completely drug-free will be achieved in the near future.

Sengottaiyan also stated that establishing good governance and a clean administrative system in the state is the government’s priority. According to him, this problem can be controlled through a strict policy against drug addiction and public awareness campaigns.

He claimed that Tamil Nadu will see positive changes due to strong leadership and clear policies. He also stated that the public now expects a government that is transparent and takes strict action against social evils.

This statement has sparked heated discussion in political circles. This statement regarding drug de-addiction and administrative reforms is being seen as a link to the state’s future political direction.

Experts believe that the drug problem is not just a law and order issue, but also a social and health issue, requiring the joint participation of the government, society, and institutions to address it.

Meanwhile, Sengottaiyan’s statement has sparked a new debate in state politics, with differing opinions emerging regarding the goal of a drug-free Tamil Nadu and its implementation.
