Kamal Nath described Madhya Pradesh as the most corrupt state in the country.
Bhopal (ANI): Taking aim at the government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Congress leader Kamal Nath on Monday said that Madhya Pradesh has become the most corrupt state in the country and every citizen here is either a victim of corruption or a victim of it. Saw it.
The head of the state unit of Congress said that the elections of November 17 are the elections of the future of Madhya Pradesh.
The former Chief Minister of the state said, “I have contested four elections. Every election has its own importance. The November 17 election is not about any candidate or any party, this election is about the future of Madhya Pradesh.”
Nath was addressing a gathering in Narela Assembly constituency in Bhopal, the seat currently represented by BJP MLA and Minister of State Vishwas Kailash Sarang.
Taking aim at the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Chief Minister Chouhan, he said, “Today Madhya Pradesh has become the most corrupt state of our country. And every person here is either a victim of corruption or a witness to corruption.”
Making his sarcasm more sharp, he said that Madhya Pradesh has become a ruined state, where there is no education, electricity, health system and other basic needs.
Voting is to be held in Madhya Pradesh on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will elect MLAs from 230 assembly constituencies.
In the last 2018 assembly elections, Congress had won 114 seats with 40.89 percent vote share while BJP stood second and managed to win 109 seats. Its vote share was 41.02 percent. Congress came to power with Kamal Nath taking oath as the Chief Minister, but in 2020, Jyotiraditya Scindia joined BJP along with 22 loyal MLAs. Later BJP formed the government with Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the Chief Minister. (ANI)
