Air Marshal Tejinder Singh assumes command of South Western Air Command, IAF

New Delhi: Air Marshal Tejinder Singh assumed command of South Western Air Command, Indian Air Force (IAF) on January 1, 2026. On taking over, he inspected a ceremonial Guard of Honour at HQ South Western Air Command and paid homage at the HQ South Western Air Command War Memorial, as reported by ANI.

Commissioned in June 1987, Air Marshal Singh has accumulated over 4500 hours of flying experience. His illustrious career includes commanding a Fighter Squadron, Radar Station, and a major Fighter Base, as well as serving as AOC J&K.

The Air Marshal has held key staff appointments, including ACAS Ops (Offensive), ACAS Ops (Strategy), SASO EAC, and Deputy Chief of the Air Staff. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Training Command, Indian Air Force.

ANI reports that Air Marshal Singh’s appointment underscores his dedication and expertise, further solidifying the IAF’s commitment to excellence.
