Karnataka: Farmers in Thelanur have become more aware of sugarcane cultivation.

Karnataka: In the nearby Thellanur village, the Bannari Amman Sugar Factory recently conducted an awareness program on sugarcane cultivation.
Mahadevappa, the assistant manager of the Kuntoor Sugar Factory, stated that farmers who plant sugarcane during the summer months will receive a subsidy of ₹10,000. He urged every farmer to take advantage of this opportunity. He assured them that the sugarcane grown by the farmers would be harvested ahead of schedule.
Farmer leader Ashok said that planting sugarcane in July would result in a good yield. Furthermore, farmers can expect higher profits as the harvesting costs would be lower. He suggested that if the factory officials avoid unnecessary expenses and encourage planting during the summer, they can achieve a successful harvest. He also emphasized that the sugar factory officials should take the initiative to harvest the sugarcane before the scheduled date.
Kuntoor Sugar Factory officials Prabhu Swamy and Venkatachal, along with farmers Pratheesh Kumar, Gopi, Somanna, Doreswamy, and Nanjundashetty, were present on the occasion.
