Karnataka News: Mysore saint brutally murdered with sickle

Mysuru. Mysore: Saint Sivananda Swamiji (90) of Annadaneshwar Math was brutally murdered with a deadly weapon on Monday in the Math premises located in Siddharthanagar on Bannur Road in Mysore. This brutal murder has shocked his followers and people. Police have arrested a suspect Ravi (60) in connection with the murder. It is being told that he used to work as an assistant to Shivanand Swamiji. The reason for the murder is not yet known.

The accused had attacked the saint with a sickle. According to the preliminary report, property dispute is being said to be the reason behind the murder. Nazarbad police have registered a case and started investigation. Fingerprint experts and senior police officers have reached the spot. The accused has been admitted to the hospital for medical examination.
