Reddy said Basaveshwara bus station at Peenya will be used as a depot for operation and maintenance of these trucks and the remaining vacant space will be provided to government enterprises to generate business income.

“With an aim to leverage its strength in passenger transportation business in 2021, KSRTC forayed into logistics business under the brand “Namma Cargo” for transportation of packages in KSRTC route buses.

In this sense, KSRTC is launching a new “Namma Cargo” service of trucks equipped with GPS for transportation of goods”, the state transport corporation said.

According to KSRTC, the trucks will transport goods through Karnataka with safe, fast and reliable services.
