Raipur. In Chhattisgarh’s famous 2000 crore liquor scam case, ED raided 5 places for 15 hours on Saturday. In this, raids were conducted at the hideouts of former Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma, son Harish Lakhma and people associated with him. ED has detained some people. At the same time, summons have been issued to some people including Kawasi and his son.
On the second day of the raid, Kawasi Lakhma said that he and his son have been called for questioning on Monday. ED’s raid is politically motivated. The raid has been conducted for speaking against the government in the assembly and exposing a big scam. BJP is doing politics of defamation. I was kept in the dark by officers like AP Tripathi. Lakhma said that I am illiterate. The officers have done a mistake. I used to just sign the signatures brought by the officers. The officers used to read and write the paper. Not even a single paper has been found from my house.
He said that I have no information about this scam. I have been asked for property details. I have asked for time, I will give full details. ED officials have taken my son and my mobile with them. They also questioned me about the scam.
