Kerala: CPM worker named in case of attack with deadly weapons

KANNUR: Police have registered a case against CPM workers for attacking a Youth League leader. The incident took place in Peringom, Kannur. The case is against seven CPM workers. The FIR states that the activists attempted to kill him with deadly weapons. Youth League District Secretary Shajeel Iqbal was beaten while showing black flags towards the Health Minister yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, six Youth League workers who showed black flags against the Minister in front of Kannur AKG Hospital have also been remanded. They have been charged with several counts, including breaking the flag placed in front of Minister Veena George’s car. Youth League District President K.K. Shinaz, Treasurer Shabbir Adayanur, Secretary Ashkar Kannadiparamba, Jabir, Nizam, and Nihal Irikur have been remanded.
