Kerala: Expelled Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil Arrested in Rape Case

Expelled Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil has been arrested in a rape case. The Kerala Crime Branch police have taken him into custody. Palakkad MLA Rahul was arrested after another complaint was received against him. He was arrested from a hotel in Palakkad on Saturday night.

He was later taken to the AR Camp in Pathanamthitta for questioning. After the questioning, he will be produced before the Thiruvalla Judicial Magistrate Court. Rahul had filed an anticipatory bail petition in early December after the first rape case was registered against him. The Kerala High Court had stayed his arrest.

The case was transferred from the APP to the Kerala Crime Branch. Now, he has been arrested after another case was registered against him.
