Kerala: Minor girl sexually assaulted in hospital, police take action

KANNUR: Police have registered a case against a security staff member for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a disabled minor girl who had come to the Thaliparamba Taluk Government Hospital. The accused has been identified as Pradeep Kumar, a security guard and former soldier from Payyavoor.
The incident occurred on December 22nd. The minor girl had come to the hospital with her mother for counseling. When the mother entered the counseling room, the security staff member allegedly misbehaved with her. The girl later narrated the incident during counseling, following which a police complaint was filed. Pradeep Kumar has been absconding since the 23rd. Police said efforts are underway to locate and arrest him.
