Kerala: New pictures of gold smuggling case accused Unnikrishnan Potti with BJP leaders have surfaced

KOCHI: Reports emerge that Unnikrishnan Potty, the main accused in the Sabarimala gold theft case, has links with BJP leaders. The pictures of former Karnataka chief minister Sadananda Gowda and deputy chief minister Ashwath Narayan attending a function along with Potty have surfaced. The pictures were released by a noted media. The two leaders attended the function in January 2022 at the installation of the golden doors of the Ayyappa Temple at Jalahalli in Bengaluru. Gowda was serving as the union minister then.
Meantime, the new picture of former devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran with Potty had surfaced the other say. It was captured when Kadakampally visited Potty a second time.The picture shows Kadakampally presenting a memento to Potty’s uncle’s daughter when she got rank for degree. Meantime, it is not clear why the minister came. His uncle Venkateswaran Potty confirmed that Potty called his daughter to his house in Pulimath when the minister arrived. A picture of Kadakampally Surendran arriving at Potty’s house on another day had also first surfaced.
Former Ranni MLA and the present CPM Pathanamthitta district secretary Raju Abraham accompanied Kadakampally Surendran that day. One picture showed Kadakampally Surendran and Raju Abraham standing with Unnikrishnan Potty and his family. Another picture of Kadakampally Surendran giving a gift to Unnikrishnan Potty’s father had also emerged.
