Kerala: Violent clash during Christmas celebrations in Alappuzha, 10 injured

Charummoodu: Around 10 people, including women and children, were injured in a clash between carol gangs in Karimulakkal. The court remanded 18 people arrested in connection with the incident. kwa-water-free Kerala Water Authority’s free drinking water scheme; apply until January 31
The clash occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday at the Thadathivila junction during a carol performance by the Youth Club and the Liberty Club. The carol group, led by the Youth Club, consisted of around 50 people, including children and women. The Liberty Club, formed by splitting the Youth Club, also participated in the carols. The FIR states that the clash began when the Youth Club questioned the foul language used by the Liberty Club during the carols. The victims were Abdul Salam (47), Vinesh (41), his wife Keerthi (33), their children Sri Ganesh (13), Shravan (5), and Nayana (28), their daughter Tamara (6), Raju Shalayam Monisha (31), and club member Ziyad (25), all members of the youth club Karimulaikkal SA Manzil. They are being treated at a private hospital in Nooranad. The violence was carried out using wire rods, stones, pieces of wood, and other implements. Liberty Club members Shyam Lal (33), Akhil G (29), Shabbu (44), Harikrishnan (27), Sanu (25), Abhinath (19), Shamnas (19), Dheeraj (20), Ananthu (25), Rishi Madhav (28), Jeetu S (24), Srimon (18), Amal A (24), Amit (19), Aromal (20), Siddiqui (21), Ashwin (25) and Akhilesh (22) were taken into remand.
