Khammam: Task force and land protection team to protect government land

Khammam: According to District Deputy Collector Gautam, a working group committee has been formed with the aim of protecting valuable government land in Khammam city. The committee was constituted with Khammam Municipal Commissioner as Chairman, Khammam RDO as coordinating member, city ACP, Khammam Urban Tehsildar, Deputy Director of Urban Planning of the Municipal Corporation, Deputy Director of Land Studies and Records. engineer. They formed four land security teams with officials from the hacienda, police, irrigation and municipal corporations to protect government lands. Gautam revealed that they will identify government lands, inspect the concerned lands from time to time and take measures to avoid encroachment on those lands. The teams will have to take measures like fencing, closed-circuit television cameras, signs indicating that the land belongs to the government, planting trees on government land for public needs, developing parks, play areas and parking lots. It is necessary to identify unauthorized constructions on government lands and remove them immediately. Measures should be taken to cancel illegally given house numbers. Registration of restricted lands and fake records will have to be cancelled. They will have to initiate criminal cases against the invaders. Khammam city is spread over 95 square kilometers and the jurisdiction of four land conservation teams will be handed over to the government land conservation, Gautam said. They received 6288 applications in the city under GO 58 and approved 1056 applications, while they received 367 applications under GO 59 and approved 67 applications. Those barren lands, for whose regularization applications have been submitted as per Government Orders 58 and 59 and have been reclaimed, should be taken into possession. They should install fences and closed circuit television cameras in these areas and officials should conduct periodic inspections. The Collector said that the revenue officials will have to provide the database of their lands and if there is encroachment somewhere, they should immediately inform the police, as should the municipal and revenue officials. If it is found that someone was instigating innocent people to invade government land in the hope of regularization in future, then criminal cases should be registered against those people and resolved.
