Tokhan Sahu Tokhan Sahu comes from a very simple farmer family, who was elected MLA from Lormi assembly seat for the first time in the year 2013. Tokhan Sahu was also made Parliamentary Secretary in the Raman Singh government. This time in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Tokhan Sahu defeated Congress candidate Devendra Yadav by a margin of more than 1 lakh 64 thousand votes.
BJP had made former Lormi MLA Tokhan Sahu its candidate from Bilaspur Lok Sabha seat. Tokhan Sahu has registered a historic victory from this seat. He started his political career from the small village Surajpura in Lormi in 1994 as a Panch. Tokhan Sahu is known as a very popular public representative in the area. Tokhan was elected as Sarpanch from Panch, then Zilla Parishad member and then MLA from Lormi assembly seat in the year 2013. In the year 2015, while being an MLA, he was also given the post of Parliamentary Secretary during the tenure of Raman Singh. Just a few months ago, Tokhan Sahu has also been made the state president of Chhattisgarh BJP’s Kisan Morcha.
