KOCHI: Patriarch of Global Syrian Church to meet Pinarayi Vijayan

Kochi: Patriarch of the Global Syrian Church and Antioch Moran Mar Ignatius Ephrem II will arrive in Kerala for a 12-day visit, where he will also meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Chairman of the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC). ) and Catholicos Mar Basilios Clemis of the Malankara Catholic Church. According to the Church spokesperson, the meeting with the CM will take place at the end of his visit. “The Patriarch will reach India on January 25. That day he will consecrate the newly constructed Jacobite Syrian Church in Bengaluru. The main event of his visit is the consecration jubilee of Catholicos Thomas I and the commemoration of Manjanikara Bava Mor Yulios Elias Koro,” the spokesperson said. On the evening of February 1, the Patriarch will conduct Holy Mass at the Meenangadi Cathedral Church in Wayanad. Bava will be felicitated at St. Mary Sunoro Church, Velamcode, Kozhikode on February 2 at 10 am. He will participate in the 75th anniversary celebrations of the church. Then he will go to the Mount Horeb bishop’s home.
