Kolkata celebrated new year
Only a few hours are left for the new year to begin. The metropolis has been decorated with colorful lights. Many foreign guests are also making bookings to celebrate New Year in Kolkata. Meanwhile, the administration is also on alert. People of the metropolis are thronging the streets in colorful clothes from Park Street to AJC Bose Road to make the last day of the year memorable. Hotels, restaurants, pubs and bars of the city are busy preparing music, lights and delicious food to make the night of 31st December memorable. Various types of events and programs have been organized at many places. Apart from this, many restaurants in Park Street and adjacent areas are becoming crowded. Most of the people had come out to see Park Street in the evening while there were also some people who had come out to go towards restaurants and pubs. Prabhash De, who came to visit Park Street regarding this, said that every year he comes to Park Street with his friends on the last evening of the year and likes to welcome the New Year with great pomp and show at his home with delicious food and drinks. Debjani De said that it is very rare that she gets a chance to spend holidays with her family. She said that on the occasion of New Year, she will go out with her husband and child and welcome the New Year with flavours.
