Kothagudem: Attempt to rape a three-year-old girl

Kothagudem: A case of rape of a three-year-old girl by a labourer from Jharkhand has come to light in Gandhi Nagar Colony located in Sarpaka of Bargampad Mandal of the district. It is being told that the accused Kundal Ram, who works in a local factory, tried to rape the girl by luring her with breakfast late on Monday evening. He ran away when the girl started crying. On getting information about the incident, the girl’s parents lodged a complaint with the police. The girl was taken to the hospital for medical examination and a case has been registered against the accused under the POCSO Act. SI Suman said that meanwhile on Tuesday, members of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) protested at the Sarpaka Center and demanded strict punishment for the accused. Sangh leader Maha Lakshmi said that this incident is very painful and the police should immediately arrest the accused and take steps to prevent such incidents.
