Laborers shot dead

New Delhi. The bodies of two people were found just 300 meters apart in the wee hours of Tuesday in Northeast Delhi’s Welcome area. Both had bullet wounds on their bodies. Police gave this information. The deceased were identified as Pradeep (40) and Bablu alias Patla (40) and both were daily wage labourers. However, the police said that Bablu was earlier found involved in 13 cases of snatching and theft and was a bad character of the Bhajanpura police station. A senior police officer said that at around 2.15 am, a person was informed that a person was shot, after which a police team reached the spot. On arrival at the scene, a man was found with two bullet wounds. Two empty 9 mm shells were found near his body. Thereafter, Bablu’s body was found near Gali No. 6, Subhash Park, about 300 meters away from the first crime scene. Two bullet wounds were found on his chest and lower abdomen. Two empty shells of 9 mm were found near the dead body. Initial investigation revealed that both Pradeep and Bablu knew each other and were possibly together at the time of the incident. The officer said, “It appears that first Bablu was shot on the road, then Pradeep was shot. Both were taken to GTB Hospital, where they were declared brought dead on arrival.”
