Lalu Prasad and Shivanand Tiwari visited Marine Drive in Patna, crowd gathered
Patna (IANS). Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad along with his party’s National Vice President Shivanand Tiwari visited JP Ganga Pathway, commonly known as Marine Drive, on the banks of river Ganges in Patna.
Lalu, who has been unwell for some time, is looking stronger and fitter these days. He is often seen in public places. He also visited Gandhi Maidan during the Independence Day celebrations here on Tuesday.
Lalu Prasad, along with his JP movement partner Shivanand Tiwari, visited Marine Drive in a special chariot made on an SUV on Tuesday evening and interacted with people. Both the leaders inspected the area and reviewed the work done by the Ministry of Road Construction headed by Tejashwi Yadav.
The second phase of Marine Drive was inaugurated on August 14 by CM Nitish Kumar in the presence of Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and other dignitaries. Along with this, the 12.8 km stretch between Digha to Gaighat has also been opened for public and motorists can cover this distance in just 15 minutes.
A large number of people thronged to see Lalu Prasad during both the visits. He interacted with the common people and also enjoyed ‘Kulfi’. With such public appearances, Lalu Prasad is trying to send a message that he is fit now and will put up a tough fight in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The increasing activities of Lalu Prasad is a good sign for the opposition ‘India’ alliance.
