Laptop scheme not implemented for elections: Minister E. Periyasamy

Tamil Nadu: Minister E. Periyasamy said that the plan to provide laptops to students was not implemented for the elections.
The Pithalepatti Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society in the Attur Assembly constituency of Dindigul district held the inauguration ceremony of a new fair price shop in Kallanattappatti on Thursday.
Rural Development Minister E. Periyasamy, who attended the event as a special guest, told reporters:
Let the Special Revision of Voters’ List (SIR) be successfully completed. Let the new voter list be released. We will see what can be done after that. Leader of the Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami has said that ₹5,000 should be given for the Pongal festival. The Chief Minister will take action so that people do not face any shortage.
There is no truth to the allegation that the DMK is a cosmetic government. The Panchayat Department has been given funds to build 22,000 km of roads, a huge amount, and roads have been connected to villages across Tamil Nadu. Nearly 200,000 new homes have been built.
The AIADMK, which ruled for 10 years, didn’t maintain the homes. We have repaired homes that hadn’t been repaired for 20 years, at a cost of ₹2,000 crore. We’ve built 25,000 new homes to replace old ones. Students weren’t given laptops for the elections. He said the Chief Minister is implementing the announcement made in the Assembly.
