Leopard Dies During Treatment In Etawah Lion Safari In Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh : A leopard, who was rescued from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, died on August 31 after being brought for treatment to the Lion Safari Park in Etawah, an official said on Saturday. The body of the big cat was sent to Bareilly for a postmortem.

The leopard was rescued three days ago from Dayalpura village with serious injuries when brought to the Etawah Safari Park, an official said.
“The leopard was rescued from Bijnor and was brought to our Safari Park here in Etawah. He was brought with serious injuries on his head and nose. He was being treated by the doctors, but he started having epileptic seizures. He died at 8:50 PM on August 31,” Diksha Bhandari, director of Etawah Safari Park, said.

In another incident of animal abuse in Madhya Pradesh, a leopard that was brought to the Indore Zoo in Dewas district for treatment on Wednesday is in a critical condition.
According to the authorities, the age of the leopard was about 10 years and there were no injury marks on its body. The incident was caught on camera, where villagers were spotted playing, maltreating and taking selfies with the leopard, who according to the Autorites is suffering from a neurological disorder.
