Light rain is expected in Tamil Nadu for the next 6 days.
Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that light to moderate rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu from Thursday (December 11) to December 16.
In this regard, the Chennai Meteorological Department issued a press release on Wednesday: Due to a change in the easterly wind pattern, light to moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places in Tamil Nadu, as well as in Puducherry and Karaikal regions, from Thursday (December 11) to December 16.
Additionally, light fog is expected at one or two places in the interior parts of Tamil Nadu during the morning hours. The sky will be partly cloudy in Chennai and Puducherry on Thursday. Light rain is possible in some parts of the city. However, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 88 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rainfall: In Tamil Nadu, Nagapattinam district recorded the highest rainfall of 40 mm in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Monday (December 8). Karaikal, Thiruvarur, Vedaranyam (Nagapattinam), Mandapam (Ramanathapuram), and Thiruvarur each recorded 10 mm of rainfall, it was stated.
