Liquor sale near crematorium, Kabir Nagar youth arrested

Raipur. Sunny Tandi, accused of illegally possessing liquor, has been arrested. Kabir Nagar police team received information that a person was selling liquor illegally near Valmiki Nagar crematorium under Kabir Nagar police station area. On which, under the direction of senior officers, Kabir Nagar police team went to the said place told by the informer and conducted a raid. During the raid, a person was hiding after seeing the police carrying a plastic sack, who was caught by cordon and when interrogated, he revealed his name to be Sunny Tandi, resident of Valmiki Nagar, Kabir Nagar Raipur.

When the team members searched the plastic bag kept with him, it was found to contain Goa English liquor. When Sunny Tandi was asked for valid documents regarding the possession/sale of liquor, an attempt was being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which the accused Sunny Tandi was arrested and illegally kept from his possession 32 pav of English liquor Goa, worth approximately Rs. 3,840/- and crime number 10/24 Section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered against the accused in Police Station Kabir Nagar. It was registered and action was taken.
