Liquor seized from black bag, youth selling near bridge arrested
Balod: In view of the upcoming assembly elections and law and order, a team was formed at the police station level in compliance with the guidelines given under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar Nayak, District Balod and City Superintendent of Police Rajhara Rajesh Bagde.
During patrolling under Daundi police station area, information was received from the informer that the accused Tameshwar Nareti, father Surendra Nareti, aged 33 years, resident of village Chaugel, Bhanupratappur district, Kanker (Chhattisgarh), was illegally staying in Daundi near the bridge on the way from Bandhiyapara to Avari. Selling liquor in huge quantities. On receiving the information, the staff of police station Daundi conducted a raid and from their possession, 50 pauvas of country plain 9.000 bulk liter worth Rs 4000 were found in a black bag. It was seized and taken into custody by the police. After this, a case of crime No. 206/23 Section 34 (2) of Excise Act has been registered against the accused in Daundi police station and investigation proceedings have been taken up. The said accused has been produced before the Honorable Court and sent on judicial remand. In this action, police station in-charge Daundi inspector Sunil Tirkey, head constable Deepak Nareti, constable Ishwar Bhandari, Sanjay Chelak played important roles.
