Liquor serving person arrested in Valmiki Nagar
Raipur: The person serving liquor in Valmiki Nagar has been arrested. The team of Kabir Nagar police station had received information that a person was selling liquor illegally near his house in Balmiki Nagar. A person who was hiding from the police with a plastic bag was surrounded and caught.
During interrogation, the person gave his name as Ramesh Mahanand, father late. Durje Mahanand, aged 32 years, resident of Valmiki Nagar police station, Kabir Nagar district, Raipur. When the team members searched the plastic sack kept with him, it was found that Icon Premium Whiskey English Liquor was kept inside the sack. When Ramesh Mahanand was asked for valid documents regarding the possession of liquor, he was continuously trying to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which the accused Ramesh Mahanand was arrested and illegally kept from his possession 32 paua icon premium whiskey and English liquor worth approximately Rs 3,840/- and crime number 217/23 section 34(2) of Excise Act was registered against the accused in Kabir Nagar police station. It was registered and action was taken.
