Mirzapur: Four miscreants looted an ATM cash van in Mirzapur, UP on Tuesday. During this, the protesting guard was shot dead. Three other people have been injured by the bullet. Mirzapur Police said that four miscreants riding on two motorcycles looted a cash van in front of Axis Bank located at Koktra Police Station Dankinganj Beltar.
Cash van guard Jai Singh tried to stop the miscreants. But, Jai Singh was seriously injured by the bullets of the miscreants. Three other persons were also injured in the firing. The miscreants fled from the spot after looting a cash box from the van. Police reached the spot on information and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment. Doctors declared guard Jai Singh dead. The condition of the other three injured is normal.
Local people told that the employees were bringing a box full of cash from the bank and keeping it in the van. Meanwhile the miscreants started firing in the air. This created chaos. The miscreants picked up a box full of cash and started running away. When the guard tried to stop him, the miscreants shot him. After the incident, all four miscreants fled on the bike. On receiving information about the incident, the police has intensified the investigation. The miscreants are being searched. Police have said that the miscreants will be arrested soon.
